           I’m Maya Vega Garcia, founder of Golden Hour Leather & Canvas.

I trained as a tailor in Hamburg, Germany, and began my career in menswear and costume design before moving to California, where I focused on furniture upholstery and material craft.

My work eventually led me north to Port Townsend, where I refine upholstery for traditional motor and sailing yachts along the West Coast.

From my studio here, I continue to craft leather and canvas goods with the same care and intention — built to last, made to be used, and quietly meant to be noticed.
